Weekend Seminar – Granbury, TX

The weekend seminar is our premier and most in-depth future innkeeper program and allows for more face time and interaction with your instructors. The weekend seminar package includes group instruction, workbooks, personalized follow-up consultation, meals, and breaks. The Inn will offer optional wine and cheese on Friday evening to guests of the Inn/seminar; Dinner Saturday night will be an upscale yet relaxed affair, and you are the guests of The B&B Team® for both these events, plus your Read More lunch on Saturday. The cost of your lodging during the seminar is additional, and we have negotiated a preferred rate for our seminar attendees.
In addition to the seminar on starting a bed and breakfast itself, as a graduate, you will be eligible for a personal, half-day planning session with one of us at our office or over the phone/video conference.
Attendees for the weekend seminars should plan on checking in on Friday afternoon/evening. Please plan on departing after 12:30 PM on Sunday. Click here for a seminar agenda.

Workshop Location: Inn on Lake Granbury – Granbury, TXUpon confirmation of your seminar registration, please make your room reservation. Each attendee is responsible for booking their room at the host inn by calling the inn (817) 573-0046. Please do not book online or through an OTA (Online Travel Agency). Tell Innkeepers or staff that you are with The B&B Team’s seminar to receive the preferred rate. We suggest attendees stay at the host Inn but you are not required to.
Fees: $325 for one person and 425.00 for two people
Cancellation Policy: Any cancellations received with 21 or more days notice before the seminar will receive a full refund less a $25.00 cancellation service fee. Any cancellation within 21 days prior to the seminar will receive full credit for a future seminar. Lodging cancellations will be governed by the Inn’s cancellation policy.
Seminar participation is limited to ensure the appropriate level of personalized service you expect and deserve and in order to adhere to social distancing guidelines. Seminar registration is on a first come – first served basis and, should the seminar be full, we will advise you immediately and place you on a priority waitlist.

Future Innkeeper Hands-On Workshop

Considering becoming an innkeeper and want to participate in the daily operations of a successful inn? Not sure what happens behind the scenes?
Launched in 2016, our Future Innkeeper Hands-On Workshop will give you a clear understanding of the daily activities involved in creating a successful business. Your instructor for this workshop is Linda Hayes, a former innkeeper and restaurant owner from Virginia. Working with her in the Spring is Amy Draper, the owner of Armory Park Inn, located in Tucson, AZ.
Overall Sample Schedule:
Thursday arrival by 2pm, Workshop begins at 3 pm with 7 pm group dinner offsite
Friday 7 am-7 pm Hands-on all day with dinner on your own
Saturday 7 am-7 pm Hands-on all day with group dinner offsite
Sunday 9 am-12 noon – Hands-on and wrap-up and depart after 12:30 pm
Lodging is not included in the workshop fee and it is required that you stay at the property to gain the full workshop experience. Lodging at the host property is required and must be booked and paid directly via phone with each property after confirmation of the workshop is received. Breakfast and afternoon snacks are included with lodging. 25% discount is offered for additional room nights booked beyond the required three nights and must be requested at the time of booking. Once you receive my confirmation of your seminar registration, you may call to book one of the rooms we have on hold.
Pre-Requisite: This is a level two program, and to ensure quality and maximum benefit for you, taking a first-level seminar is a prerequisite. ***You must have attended a one-day or beginning workshop or an approved substitute.
Cancellation Policy: If you must cancel your registration, please contact me immediately. Workshops are limited in the number of attendees so you must cancel 60 days prior to receive a full refund. Any cancellation received within 60 days prior to the workshop will be refunded only if the space is rebooked. A $100 cancellation fee will be deducted from the refund. Lodging cancellations will be governed by the inn’s cancellation policy.

The Virtual Seminar is being offered as an alternative to our in-person aspiring Innkeeper sessions. This session covers much of the same material as the One Day Comprehensive Seminar and will help to affirm attendees’ interest in a possible Inn purchase.  The seminar includes six hours of instruction and workbooks. Follow-up consultations can be scheduled individually on a case-by-case basis.
The Virtual Seminar begins at 10:00 AM ET and ends at 5:00 PM ET and will welcome attendee Read More participation throughout the day.  There will be a 60-minute lunch break and the seminar will be recorded and sent to attendees so they can review materials in their own time. The cost of the Virtual Seminar is $99.00.

One Day Comprehensive Workshop – Kennebunk, ME

November 5, 2022-November 5, 2022

The one-day comprehensive workshops include instruction, workbooks, lunch, and personalized consultation (to be scheduled for mutually agreed upon times, dates, and locations). This will be a fast-paced Saturday. We will cover the same material as in the full weekend seminar but without as much time for exercises, questions, and tangents.  If you can’t spare a whole weekend, this is a great alternative. Follow-up consultations can be scheduled individually on a case-by-case basis.
Attendees for Read More the one-day comprehensive workshops should plan on being at the host inn or class site by 8:00 AM on Saturday. We will start at 8:30 AM and run until 5:30 PM. Please call for lodging suggestions if you plan to stay overnight.
